I am an Associate Professor in EU Law at the Faculty of Human and Social Science (Department of Law and Institutions) of the Universitas Mercatorum.I also am a reporter for ORIL-IHRL (OPIL - OUP), a member of the editorial committee of “The Italian Review of International and Comparative Law” and of“Rassegna di Diritto Civile”, and a UNHCR’s appointed Independent Expert on International Protection and Human Rights.I obtained my Law Degree (2017) and my PhD (2021) at University of Napoli Federico II. I was postdoctoral research fellow in international law at CNR-IRISS, Napoli (2021), and research fellow in international law at the Law Department of Univeristy of Cagliari (2022-2023) and at the Department of Political and Social Science (2023-2024). My research interests include international and EU migration law and international protection of human rights, with a focus on socioeconomic rights in contexts of crisis.Between 2016 and 2019, I provided free legal assistance to asylum seekers and (un)documented migrants in Italy and Greece.In February 2021, I passed the Italian Bar Exam.

In 2023, I was awarded the Brett William Campbell PhD Thesis Prize in International Studies (2022 Edition by the University of Trento, School of International Studies).In December 2023, I obtained the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) as Associate Professor of International Law (IUS/13 – SC 12/1E1).
